- William Wordsworth William Wordsworth, the famous English poet, has mentioned in his poem 'The Rainbow' that child is the father of the man. According to him, all positive and negative traits are established during childhood. It is said that certain characteristics, habits, traits, qualities, learnt at childhood remain with the person forever. Thus, it is necessary to groom children to adopt healthy attitudes and positive traits so that they grow up to be balanced individuals and above all a good citizen; a country may feel proud of.
